NEW: Vincotech ISE
- The Integrated Simulation Environment

The Vincotech ISE is an integrated simulation and selection environment for power and solar modules. The program contains updated versions of the previously introduced applications flowSIM and flowSEL and new applications such as flowSOL and flowMIS.

  • flowSIM (V4.00) is a software for interactive calculation of power dissipations and temperatures using Vincotech power modules.
    It helps you to select the right devices for your application. Its power loss and device temperature calculations are based on fully measured parameters.
  • flowSEL (V1.30) is a tool that helps you choose the right driver stage for your application. Using the generated curves as sources, you can obtain information about current, power and temperature conditions for your application.
  • flowSOL (V1.00) is a simulation tool of the solar modules. The program is based on the flowSIM therefore its behavior is very similar to flowSIM.
  • flowMIS (V1.00) is a tool that simulates the power and temperature characteristics of power modules excited with a given mission profile.
      

Software download:
Step 01: Download and install LabVIEW Runtime Engine 8.2 (32MB) once (if not already installed).
Step 02: Download Vincotech ISE.exe (8.24 MB) (last update: March 26, 2010) into your simulation directory.
Step 03: Start Vincotech ISE.exe.

flowSIM - The Power Module SIMulation Tool

This simulation software serves to interactively calculate power dissipations
and temperatures using Vincotech power modules. It helps you select the right devices for your application. Its power loss and device temperature calculations are based on fully measured parameters.

 

Simulation environment for:

  • Motor drive
  • Generator / UPS
  • PFC
  • Dynamic chip temperature and power dissipation of all module components: Rectifier, IGBT, FRED and PFC switch
  • Optimizing interactive gate resistors

Software Download:
Step 01: Download and install LabVIEW Runtime Engine 8.2. (32MB) once (web and CD)
Step 02: Download flowSIM_301.exe (2.8MB) (last update: Feb. 12, 2008) into your simulation directory.
Step 03: Download Datas.dat (10.4MB) (last update: March 6, 2009) into your simulation directory (update if new data are available).
Step 04: Start flowsim_301.exe.

flowSEL - The Power Module SELection Tool

This power module selection software is a tool that helps you choose the right Vincotech power module for your motor drive application based on your performance requirements.

It enables you to select the power module from the drive performance side.

You can input:

  • DC voltage
  • Switching frequency
  • Heat sink temperature
  • Motor current
  • Motor voltage
  • Cos-phi

To get:

  • A list of power modules meeting your specifications with Tj for IGBT and FRED, and module efficiency


The highlighted power module in the list is shown in a chart depicting  

  • Dynamic motor current
  • Dynamic power dissipation
  • Dynamic chip temperature
