VINCOTECH PRESENTS NEW SCREW CONTACT PACKAGE FOR HIGHLY EFFICIENT POWER CONVERSION

Unterhaching/Germany, May 04, 2010 – Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, today announced the development of the new high-power product family flowMNPC 4w for power applications beyond 250 kW. The company will present prototypes of the new flowMNPC 4w at Nuremberg’s PCIM fair.
The flowMNPC 4w power module integrates one phase of the Mixed Voltage Neutral Point Clamped (MNPC) inverter topology in a new low-inductive package with six screw contacts. Rated for 1200V/600A, the power module is designed for solar and UPS applications. Its low-inductive design and optional onboard DC capacitors extend maximum PWM frequencies up to 20kHz, which is unique in this power range.
Samples of the flowMNPC 4w power module will be available in the third quarter of 2010, with serial production to commence in the ensuing quarter.
