EXTENSION OF HIGHLY EFFICIENT POWER MODULE FAMILY WITH MNPC TOPOLOGY BY NEW PRODUCTS

Unterhaching/Germany, May 17, 2011 – Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, has enlarged the new low-inductive power module family by two more products. The new 3xflowMNPC 4w family designed for power applications up to 250kW, such as three-phase solar inverters, features a higher power rating in the new wide-body housing. Its Mixed voltage Neutral Point Clamped (MNPC) topology provides maximum efficiency for higher switching frequencies.
This remarkably efficient power module integrates all three phases of the MNPC inverter topology into a new low-inductive package with a high-power screw interface. The MNPC topology cuts output filter effort and filter losses by more than 50 percent, and switching losses by 50 percent.
Rated for 1200V/600A and now also for 1200V/400A and 1200V/300A, the module family is destined for solar and UPS applications. Its low-inductive design and onboard DC capacitors extend maximum PWM frequencies up to 20kHz, which is unique in this power range.
The 3xflowMNPC 4w low-inductive power module is available in the 12mm flowSCREW 4w housing and samples can be ordered via standard sales channels.
