NEW: Vincotech ISE - The Integrated Simulation Environment

TheVincotech ISE is an integrated simulation and selection environment for power and solar modules. The program contains the already introduced applications flowSIM and flowSEL in an updated version and some new applications like flowSOL and flowMIS.
  • flowSIM (V4.00) is a software for interactive calculation of power dissipations and temperatures by using Vincotech Power Modules. It is a tool supporting you by the selection of the right devices for your application. The power loss and device temperature calculations are based on fully measured parameters.
  • flowSEL (V1.30) is a tool to choice the suitable driver stage for your application. Based on the generated curves you can get information about the current, power and temperature conditions for your develop ed application.
  • flowSOL (V1.00) is a simulation tool of the solar modules. The program is based on the flowSIM therefore its behavior is very similar to flowSIM.
  • flowMIS (V1.00) is a tool to simulate the power and temperature characteristic of the modules excited with a given mission profile.
Software Download:
step 01: download and install LabVIEW Runtime Engine 8.2. (32MB) once (if not already installed).
step 02: download Vincotech ISE.exe (8.24 MB) (last update: Nov. 9th, 2009) into your simulation directory.
step 03: start Vincotech ISE.exe

flowSIM - Module Simulation Tool

is a software for interactive calculation of power dissipations and temperatures by using
Vincotech Modules. It is a tool supporting you by the selection of the right devices for your application.
The power loss and device temperature calculations are based on fully measured parameters.
Simulation environment for:
  • motor drive
  • generator / UPS
  • PFC
  • dynamic chip temperature and power dissipation of all module components as: Rectifier, IGBT, FRED, PFC-switch
  • Interactive gate resistor optimizing

step 02: download flowsim_301.exe (2.8MB) (last update: Feb. 12th, 2008) into your simulation directory.
step 03: download Datas.dat (10.4MB) (last update: March 6th, 2009) into your simulation directory (update if new data are available)
step 04: start flowsim_301.exe

Quick Guide for flowSIM

flowSEL - Module selection tool

is a software to select the correct Vincotech Power Module for your motor drive application.
You select the Power Module from the drive performance side.
With your input of:
  • DC-voltage
  • switching frequency
  • heat sink temperature
  • motor current
  • motor voltage
  • cos-phi
  • motor current
You will get:
  • a list of modules fulfilling your specification with Tj for IGBT and FRED and the module efficiency.
The highlighted module in the list is shown in a graphic figure for  
  • dynamic motor current
  • dynamic power dissipation
  • dynamic chip temperature
